Xiaomi’s new sub brand POCO launched the POCO F1 last week with modified version their popular MIUI based on the Android 8.1 Oreo, adding a bunch of new features including POCO launcher which company is called as MIUI For POCO. At the launch, company has mentioned that the beta version of the POCO launcher will be available on the Play store by August 29th ( same day as the POCO F1 first sale ). As promised, the launcher is now available in the Play store. But as of now, The early access programme is currently full but if your interested you can download the launcher from APK mirror or APK pure websites.
POCO launcher looks simple and elegant but features plenty of new features. Here is the list of key features available in POCO Launcher.
App Drawer– Unlike formal MIUI, POCO puts all apps in the App drawer, You can access app drawer by swipe up from the home screen.
App Categories– Apps are automatically grouped by category like Communication, Games, Shopping etc.., or create custom groups to always keep important things just a tap away.
Group by Color – You can group apps based on the color of the icon making it easy to access the apps.
Customize icons– POCO launcher supports 3rd party icon packs. Now you can install 3rd party icon packs from Play store to give your Home screen a truly unique look.
Privacy protection– You can hide your apps by swipe to right side twice in the App Drawer.
App Shortcuts – Like Apple’s 3D touch, apps displays quick shortcuts for the various actions on long press on an app icon, users can long press on an app in the app drawer or home screen.
How to Install
Follow the steps below to install it on your smartphone:
- Download the POCO launcher apk file from any of the below links.
- Enable – Install Unknown Source in your phone
- Open file manager app and go to the location of the apk and open it.
- Install the downloaded POCO Launcher apk.
- After successful installation, Select the POCO launcher as default launcher.
If you didn’t like the POCO Launcher you can uninstall it from the Settings > Apps.
